Phase Change Draft

Draft Outline:

1. Introduction
1. Talk about heat, what is it?  What is our experience of it?
2. How did we experience the temperature of the objects in the room?  Why did they feel like different temperatures even though they were probably pretty similar?
3. We then tested the specific heat of water.  Our question was:  What does the rate of temperature change look like when water is heated from near freezing to boiling.

3. Results
1. Present your chart, include a written description of the chart as well.  What patterns do you notice.
4. Discussion
1. Explain the patterns that you noticed.  We also came up with a list of conclusions that I put on the board.  Use those, and you own.
